Capt. Nick Neuberg
Since the age of 3 Captain Nick has had a passion for all things related to fishing, endless summer days were spent catching every fish out of the pond on the family farm. Once he got a taste for fishing the ocean after just one trip aboard one of New Jerseys popular party boats the stage was set. After a few years through college working the decks of a couple party boats and a well known local charter boat Capt. Nick received his 100 ton Masters license from the USCG. At age 22 Benchmark Sportfishing Charters was started with a 33′ Bertram, 2 years later we moved up to the 44′ Henriques that has been seen fishing the waters of Raritan Bay to Morehead City, NC for the last 16 years. Capt. Nick specializes in offshore Canyon fishing, Striped bass and bottom fishing
Capt. Paul Regula
Capt. Paul Regula has spent the last 35 years running his own full time charter business. During that time he has fished the waters from NY to Cape May, NJ including the many Offshore Canyons.
Being an avid diver his early years were spent not only fishing but searching for and finding many wreck remains and snags. Fishing these newly found locations with great success earned him the reputation as being one of the Jersey Shores most productive wreck fishermen. With the purchase of the current Bounty Hunter several years were spent as a full time Canyon boat bringing in impressive catches of Tuna.
With the resurgence of the Striped Bass fishery interests once again turned to Inshore fishing where his many years of accumulated knowledge gives him the decided edge when it comes to locating the most productive fishing areas and has made the Bounty Hunter one of the Shores most consistent fish producers.
Now Paul has decided its time to open a new chapter and for the 2018 Season has teamed up with Captain Nick and the Benchmark. Stay tuned for an exciting upcoming 2018 season aboard the 44’ and 32’ Benchmark fleet
